Grow quickly and uniformly
ABZ has customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In 2019, they started using Ultimo in Eindhoven. Two years later, they switched to IFS Ultimo Premium in the Cloud, ensuring they are always up to date and can grow more quickly and uniformly.
Unifying asset structures
The foundation of asset management is, of course, the assets. To shape this as efficiently and optimally as possible, a connection has been made with AVEVA's PlantSCADA. What makes this interface of value, is that most asset information can be synchronized one-on-one with Ultimo as early as the Design phase. But much more importantly: when ABZ rolls out new production lines and factories, all relevant asset information will be immediately available. Resulting in an extremely short time to value for ABZ.
Choosing for IFS Ultimo in the Cloud.
ABZ deliberately chose the IFS Ultimo Cloud solution because it allows them to centralize all data and connect it easily with AVEVA's PlantSCADA. By breaking down these data silos, they create many new possibilities besides unifying the asset register, namely:
connecting with condition monitoring tools and automatically reading meter values;
automated reporting from operations;
high degree of flexibility as changes are implemented faster.
ABZ sees the IFS Ultimo Cloud as a perfect way to embrace the digital transformation. In doing so, they have set the following goals:

Streamlining maintenance processes
Breaking down the data silos is made possible by using all the available data. This improves and optimizes the maintenance processes. Let operators report issues and failures directly. Ultimo helps creating a continuous process of improvement. Furthermore, ABZ had the ambition to work entirely paperless. An objective that was easily achieved with IFS Ultimo Cloud and specifically Ultimo Mobile. With Ultimo Mobile, the mechanics and operators have all the information at their fingertips.
Optimizing collaboration
Throughout the digital transformation, acceptance and support were approached as an integral project within ABZ. This will make the Operations, Maintenance and IT departments work better together. It automatically leads to mutual understanding and makes sharing information much more effortless. Unconsciously and without any extra effort, training or explanation, this led to better cooperation between departments.
