More than 90 percent of leading hospitals have chosen to work with Siemens Healthineers. Their portfolio of products, services, and solutions is at the center of clinical decision-making and treatment pathways.
At IFS Ultimo, our partners play a pivotal role in driving the success of our transformational programs. Siemens Healthineers is a prime example, with their knowledge and commitment being key to helping our shared customers unlock the potential of enterprise asset management (EAM). Working in more than 70 countries worldwide their products and services are customized to local market needs allowing their healthcare customers to benefit from global expertise.
At our annual IFS Ultimo Nexus Partner Awards we acknowledged their dedication to excellence, innovation, and proactive collaboration by awarding them our ‘Technology Partner of the Year’. Siemens Healthineers is not only involved in improving and optimizing processes on a technical level but also demonstrates a proactive approach to collaboration opportunities.
As part of our series of Partner Profiles, we caught up with Britt Zwinkels, Manager Business Support at Siemens Healthineers to discuss their innovative business and how the partnership with Ultimo is empowering them to help more customers.
What makes Siemens Healthineers and its services different?
Our global team of approximately 66,000 Healthineers shares a collective purpose: to pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare - everywhere, for everyone, and sustainably. This mission drives us to give our best every day. By constantly bringing breakthrough innovations to market, we help healthcare professionals provide high-quality care that improves the lives of patients and their families.
How is Siemens Healthineers working with IFS Ultimo? And what is the value of the partnership for customers?
Working together with the team, we developed an integration between Ultimo’s asset management system and our Teamplay Fleet digital health platform. Teamplay Fleet enables our customers to streamline the management of their Siemens Healthineers’ fleet and to optimize their asset performance.
This integration automatically synchronizes data from medical devices, including failure notifications, maintenance and update tickets, documentation, and service contracts.
For our customers - healthcare providers - the key benefit of this connection is having up-to-date, consistent information centralized in one place. This significantly reduces administrative workload and enhances data quality and consistency.
Can you share some examples of joint customers and how they benefit from the partnership?
St. Jansdal Hospital in Harderwijk, the Netherlands uses Ultimo as its asset management system to service and maintain all equipment, including imaging systems serviced by Siemens Healthineers. To enhance efficiency, an interface was developed between Ultimo CMMS software and teamplay Fleet, enabling seamless communication between the two systems.
This would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the hospital. Their active involvement, thoughtful questions, and constructive feedback throughout the development process were instrumental in the success of this collaboration.
How was your experience at the Ultimo Nexus partner event, and what were your key takeaways?
