Nunspeet, Holland – 1 July 2025. Leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software provider Ultimo, an IFS company, has announced a technology partnership with TwinThread, a US-based leader in industrial artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twin technology. Under the terms of the agreement, effective immediately, TwinThread's industrial AI cloud solution is able to integrate with Ultimo's EAM platform, enabling end-users to enhance asset management maturity, reduce downtime, and optimize asset utilization.
Proactive Maintenance Solutions
TwinThread's industrial AI cloud platform delivers predictive and prescriptive insights that can be turned into actionable maintenance steps. By bringing both platforms together, end-users can leverage TwinThread's AI-driven insights to inform their optimal maintenance strategy. Thanks to seamless integration with Ultimo software, end-users will also benefit from a more comprehensive, closed-loop solution that helps consolidate maintenance planning, execution and feedback into a single, intelligent workflow.
"We are delighted to have signed this technology partnership with Ultimo, one of the world's leading EAM solution providers," says Erik Udstuen, CEO, TwinThread. "Due to the unpredictable nature of asset failures, maintenance strategies are often reactive and overly conservative. Customers struggle with data silos and integration challenges. The integration of Ultimo and TwinThread will ensure that customers can proactively identify and address maintenance needs by using data and AI, allowing them to avoid potentially costly downtime."
Smarter Asset Management
TwinThread provides pre-built solutions that deploy machine learning (ML) and AI in the areas of asset reliability (predicting and preventing equipment downtime) and asset lifecycle (controlling the risk factors that extend equipment life). The platform examines all sensor and process data in a plant, identifying anomalies that may be related to the health of an asset. That information is delivered via the Ultimo EAM platform, enabling the creation of a work order to manage maintenance in the most efficient manner. It results in better decisions, made faster, to improve the efficiency of overall asset management processes.
"AI is transforming the way industries manage and optimize their assets, and our partnership with TwinThread puts Ultimo customers at the forefront of this shift," says James Mansfield, Global Channel Sales Director at Ultimo. "By combining Ultimo’s robust EAM platform with TwinThread’s industrial AI, we’re enabling a move from reactive to predictive maintenance—unlocking smarter decisions, reduced risk, and greater operational resilience across asset-intensive environments."
Both Ultimo and TwinThread offer modern, SaaS-based platforms with seamless API integration—no custom programming required. As part of the partnership, TwinThread will join Ultimo’s partner conference in Vienna this October, highlighting AI’s growing role in EAM.
