A recent study, The Carbon Benefits of Cloud Computing, shows that the Microsoft Cloud is between 22 and 93 percent more energy efficient compared to traditional enterprise data centers, depending on the specific attributes of the solutions compared. When taking into account the company’s use of renewable energy, the Microsoft Cloud is also between 72 and 98 percent more carbon efficient.
