Chester

The Glen Arthur for Chester collection comprises sumptuous handcrafted suede and leathers created in Bali, Indonesia by the South African designer Glen Arthur.

The house uses only the finest leathers and employs Balinese artisans whose skills have been learned and handed down for generations. Pieces include luxurious shawls and wraps, many with hand knotted fringes and embellishments. Exceptional detailing in the collection also consists of beautifully cast sterling silver buttons and buckles or hand carved and polished horn. Semi-precious stones and South Sea pearls also appear in the collection, each one individually sewn to the garment.

Since the disastrous tsunami in Indonesia, a portion of the proceeds from the Chester collection goes towards maintenance of an orphanage that cares for children left homeless after this tragedy.
